Mateo Reynaud

Mateo Reynaud (he/they/elle) is a chronic starer-out-of-windows, lover of anything sesame, and multidisciplinary artist and poet based in Eugene, Oregon. Mateo is a current undergraduate student at the University of Oregon majoring in Indigenous and Ethnic Studies with a minor in Creative Writing and Art.

In his work, he strives to reckon with generational memories and hauntings of migration from Central America, memories formed by identities of queerness and transness with mediums of poetry, lyric essays, playwriting, ceramics and printmaking. An intersectional identity as a queer, trans Latine is central to Mateo’s work, which celebrates liminal spaces in an introspective and humorous manner.
